I started my podcast graphic by creating designs on Canva. There were many layouts to choose from, and I decided to use the Water Color Art Photo Collage because it had a modern look. The layout also made the name of the podcast Media Nouveau easy to see, and contained a lot of space for additional photos. I found photos to add on Flickr’s advanced photo search and used Pixlr’s online photo editor to add the photos to my design. Pixlr was difficult to master, but I was able to use the same techniques I used to create my Combophoto. I placed some popular forms of new media on the left of the design to provide examples of the types of websites we will discuss during the podcasts. I placed the WordPress and Audacity logos in the middle to display the tools our class will use to create our podcast and podcast reflections. Finally, I placed a computer keyboard to the right because without computers and other new forms of technology, we would neither be able to have new media nor create our podcasts. I look forward to listening to Media Nouveau and our class’s take on new forms of media.
